The Fairfield and Westchester County Chapters of JDRF will be teaming up for the 1st Annual Tees and Tennis to Cure Diabetes on Monday, June 3rd at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, NY.
The par-70, 6,772-yard A. W. Tillinghast designed course – often called “Tillie’s Treasure” – is among the list of best courses in the Metropolitan New York area. The course is also highly regarded on both National and International levels. In its 2013 rankings, Golf Digest rated Quaker Ridge 69th in the United States.
Tennis players will check in at 9:30 am at the courts for 2 ½ hours of active drills with teaching pro J.P. Johnson and doubles round-robin play. Lunch and silent auction will follow the on-court session. Golfers will begin their day at 10:30 am with registration, warm-up on the range, and lunch. Eighteen-hole play begins at noon with a shotgun start. A premium cocktail reception, dinner and silent and live auctions will follow the best ball golf tournament.
